Antique Wedgwood Smear Glaze Jasperware Vase Greek Key Border Early 19th Century.A few very small pits on bottom of vase. Two tiny chips on base rim. Small flat crack or chip on rim of base. Not sure if this is a repair or came that way. Please see photos of defects as shown. No other major chips or cracks. Measures about 5 1/8" tall x 4.25" diameter at mouth x 3.25" diameter base. Wedgwood smear glaze jasperware vase with Greek key border, acanthus leaf and paterae flower head sprigging in the neoclassical taste.White ground with blue relief; beaded under lip and rosettes below; Greek motif above foot; leaf design on foot; glazed inside.On Jul-28-22 at 06:31:09 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE READ: A viewer brought to my attention that the upper shops lip may have been repaired. Please see last photo. I am not sure but there is some discoloration there and a small spot with loss of glaze.
