I got this new in box and it has been on my display shelf for about 2 weeks, I've only turned it on for about a total of 10 minutes since opening it. Comes with batteries although they'll need to be replaced soon because they were low on juice when I put them in to see if it worked. It's a super cute lamp and looks amazing on display, the lighting is definitely more ambient. From 2003 and produced shops by sony.
