It's the real deal. 17.25" base diameter. 7 3/8" high. 3 3/4" top opening for tree trunk. I did not fill with water to test for leaks - however, it appears to be in very good structural condition with no visible signs of leaking. If for some reason you do experience a leak, just run a bead of clear caulk around the seam where the bottom layer is welded/molded to shops the stand itself. I say this as a precaution only - I would really be surprised if there is any leak....but with 60+/- year old items, you never know. The reservoir pan itself is free of any holes.
