Lester is a character from Howdy Doody. Something is wrong with the mechanics to move his mouth. It's as if the string is detached on the inside but I don't know for sure because I have not opened him up nor attempted any repair. He is not ready to perform and he definitely needs a bit of a makeover. I envision a new born character overhaul all together, but that is up to his next guardian to decide his journey. Sold as is. Clothes and doll are all shops original. 1973 I really want to keep him but I have not taken steps to bring him to new life.
