TIRSCHENREUTH KURT HAMMER FLAMMEN FEUERFEST BIRDS & FLORAL Rare find ~ 2 piece set of shaving mugs in the Flammen Feuerfest pattern by Kurt Hammer. Sturdy porcelain mugs are decorated with a colorful pattern of flowers, vines and aqua blue colored birds (pheasants). This is a set of 2 beautifully decorated Ceramic Shaving Mugs by the Artist Kurt Hammer of Germany. The Mug features: An ornate shops handle A wrap-around mural of flowers, vines and aqua blue colored birds. Two Floral Rims at the Base. The Mug Measures 4 ¼" high 4" diameter at opening and base 3" high at handle. Kurt Hammer was born on the March 30, 1926 in Tettau, Bavaria. He trained at the Königlichen privilegierten Porzellanfabrik and educated at the Fachschüle fur Porzellan in Selb. In 1955 he founded his own glass and porcelain decoration factory in Munich, and in 1972, built a larger factory in Schondorf am Ammersee. He died on March 21, 2010.
